Ladybug Academy's Eco Bug program takes children on an imaginative journey through engaging characters and interactive activities to learn how we can all become Eco Bugs! Aligned with current curriculum outcomes for both the Early Years Learning Framework and Board of Studies indicators, our program promotes positive sustainability practices in the school, home and wider world.
Children learn about the importance of saving water and keeping it clean, as well as how we can each contribute to a greener future every day through the three R's - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. We teach children about what types of rubbish can be recycled and encourage them to think of creative ways to reuse objects instead of throwing them away.
Most importantly, our program is fun, hands-on and memorable as we seek to engage the imagination through our original songs 'Drip Drop' and 'Reuse Recycle,' that help everyone to remember to turn off the tap and how to recognise the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle symbol. Meeting Drip Drop, Roger the Recycling Truck, Sea Turtle and Litter Bug, children are excited to become active Eco Bugs too!
Each child receives a special keepsake to celebrate their participation and we provide your school with a range of engaging lead up and follow on resources so that teachers can continue to implement strong sustainability practices in the classroom and broader school community.
We believe that you're never too young to learn about how you can make a difference and we aim to inspire young minds to think of innovative ways to look after our planet.
