It's the look on their faces when they realise how easy it is to make the impossible possible.
Moments before they were astounded at what had just happened, minutes later they are able to perform the impossible all by themselves. This is the wonder of teaching magic to children. Magic, like dinosaurs, seems to one of those phases that all children go through. They learn a trick or two from relatives, friends, books or youtube.
But there is nothing to compare to hands on lessons from a professional magician. Often it is children who are a little shy or lack self confidence who benefit most from learning a really baffling piece of magic. For them it becomes an instant way of making connections with others. I love passing on the skills I have learned from others that helps keeps magic alive from generation to generation.
I provide all the materials for the Workshops and the children keep all the tricks they learn.
