Sticky Fingers Cooking School is a mobile cooking school offering cooking classes, incursions and birthday parties to children across Melbourne, Geelong & Ballarat.

We take our mini-masterchefs on a journey of whisking, stirring and baking, throwing in a touch of maths, a handful of science, loads of fun and creating some very sticky fingers! See some of our popular incursions below or contact us to tailor an incursion to your needs. 

Snack Art

In our Snack Art workshop, your will create their very own edible work of art using cookie cutters and loads of different fruits, vegetables and other food items. Suitable for Kindergarten, Year 1 & 2 students.

Basic Cooking Skills

In this 2 hour workshop, each of your students will create a recipe of their very own! We will discuss cooking techniques, the origin of the ingredients, how the recipe fits into a healthy diet, reading a recipe, measuring ingredients and much more. Suitable for Primary & Secondary students, tailored to each year level.

Mastering the Basics

This program is run over a series of four 2 hour workshops, where each week we will create a recipe focusing on a new cooking technique each week. By the end of the program, your students will be well on their way to becoming masterchefs! Suitable for Primary & Secondary students, tailored to each year level.

Cooking Course

Run over 10 x 2 hour sessions, this incursion is perfect for secondary schools without a Food Technology program or kitchen facilities. Taught in a standard classroom or multipurpose space, this course will teach your students valuable cooking skills they will keep with them for the rest of their lives. Suitable for Primary & Secondary School students.

Holiday Cooking

What better way to celebrate Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Mother’s Day, or even Chinese New Year than with a cooking incursion? With loads of recipes to choose from your students will have a ball and get right into the spirit of the holiday. Suitable for Primary & Secondary School students.

Cooking From Around The World

In this eye opening incursion, your students will learn how to cook a recipe from the culture of your choice, learn about the ingredients and even study the origins of the recipe. What better way to gain insight into a culture than through its food, perfect if you are studying different cultures in class. Suitable for Primary & Secondary School students.

Lunchbox Ideas

Put some excitement back in your students lunchboxes! In this incursion, your students will learn the components of a healthy lunchbox and challenged to cook a main lunchbox item and snack. Suitable for Primary & Secondary School students.

Cooking On A Budget

The art of budgeting is one of the most important life skills our kids can have. In this incursion your students will learn the importance of budgeting, learn some handy money saving tips and will be challenged to create and cook a recipe on a strict budget. Suitable for Secondary School students.

Cooking With The 5 Food Groups

What a fun way to learn about the 5 food groups, your students will learn about the five food groups and challenged to create and cook a recipe which includes them all! Suitable for Primary School students.
