We provide African Music, Drumming and Dance Workshops for students from kindergarten through to primary and secondary school levels. Your number of participants can range from small groups up to 500 students or more, leaving no groups we can’t cater to!
Offered in single event or a 4/5/6 part or full term series, our workshops include African music, drumming, singing, African dance, as well as a variety of instruments from West Africa including the balafon (African xylophone), kora (African harp) and bolon (African double-bass).
The single workshop/incursion is best suited to small or larger groups and provides an introduction to West African culture and music.
The 4/5/6 part or full term series is designed for smaller groups (10-30) and takes students through the following activities: knowledge of different instruments, rhythms, techniques and finishes with a group performance.
